WHERE IS GOD CALLING YOU SERVE?

You’ve probably noticed that God has been working in our church these past few years in all kinds of exciting ways! This July and August we have had our strongest summer attendance in twenty years. While that’s not the most important measure of how God is working, it would still be wise (based on historical trends) to expect that we will be ministering to at least 25% more people this fall & winter than we did last year. This means that it is a thrilling time to be involved in ministry at Bethesda! But of course, it also means that we are going to need all hands on deck! To keep this momentum going, everyone who calls Bethesda their church home must be involved. This fall, I will be encouraging you to think about the gifts that God has given you and where they fit in with the needs of his church. If you aren’t serving yet—even if you are—why not start praying right now about how God wants YOU to bless his Body?

OCTOBER 14: HOPE INTERNATIONAL DINNER & FILM PREMIERE

Join our friends at HOPE International for an inspiring evening featuring a full-course meal, a silent auction and a new short film highlighting the stories of Indigenous Guatemalan families and the profound changes in their lives that have come from access to clean water systems and economic security. The event will begin at 6:30pm, at the Fort Garry Hotel (222 Broadway Ave.) Please speak to Pat Hill if you are interested in attending.

OCTOBER 17: GRANDPARENTING CONFERENCE

Legacy Grandparenting Summit invites Christian grandparents to attend their conference, A Heart for Eternity, on Saturday, October 17, starting at 8:30am. It will be held at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church (360 McKenzie Ave, Steinbach, MB). OCTOBER 27: YOUTH FOR CHRIST FALL BANQUET

Celebrate the hope and impact Christ is having on the lives of young people across our city at YFC’s fundraising banquet! It will be on Tuesday, October 27 at the Caboto Centre (1055 Wilkes Ave). This  initiative allows Bethesda’s community to care for one another and reduce waste all for the low, low price of…FREE! Donate non-perishable food or household items in good repair, and please feel free to take anything that could be useful to you. The sharing pantry is located in the room next to the gym.
