SEPTEMBER 20: KICKOFF SUNDAY!

Invite your family and friends on Kickoff Sunday, a special service marking the beginning of the ministry year! Faith formation classes for all ages will resume at 11:15am, and we will be introducing a new series for the adult class, Your SHAPE for God’s Service, that will take us through the fall. Then at 12:00, join us out on the lawn for a picnic hot dog (and veggie dog) lunch provided by our wonderful kitchen team! Please do not bring extra food but instead consider making a small donation to help cover the cost.

SAFE RELATIONSHIPS TRAINING

Safe Relationships Training is mandatory for all volunteers working with children or other vulnerable people through Bethesda. It will take place on Saturday, Sept 19 from 10:00am-12:00pm. (IMPORTANT CHANGE: There will be no training offered on the 20th or 27th.) If you are unable to attend in person, please contact the church office for a recorded copy of the training session.

SEPTEMBER 25: YOUTH KICKOFF!

All regular weekly ministries will resume following kickoff Sunday, including Friday night youth! All youth are welcome to drop in on Friday nights at 7:00pm for Bible study, games, and other activities! For more information, please speak to Riley Hiebert.

SEPTEMBER 26: MEN’S PRAYER FELLOWSHIP

Join us at 8:30am for a delicious breakfast, warm friendship, devotions, conversation, and prayer.

WHERE IS GOD CALLING YOU SERVE?

You’ve probably noticed that God has been working in our church these past few years in all kinds of exciting ways! This July and August we have had our strongest summer attendance in twenty years. While that’s not the most important measure of how God is working, it would still be wise (based on historical trends) to expect that we will be ministering to at least 25% more people this fall & winter than we did last year. This means that it is a thrilling time to be involved in ministry at Bethesda! But of course, it also means that we are going to need all hands on deck! To keep this momentum going, everyone who calls Bethesda their church home must be involved. This fall, I will be encouraging you to think about the gifts that God has given you and where they fit in with the needs of his church. If you aren’t serving yet—even if you are—why not start praying right now about how God wants YOU to bless his Body?

BETHESDA’S SHARING PANTRY!
This  initiative allows Bethesda’s community to care for one another and reduce waste all for the low, low price of…FREE! Donate non-perishable food or household items in good repair, and please feel free to take anything that could be useful to you. The sharing pantry is located in the room next to the gym.
